The
Dynamic range of contemporary music is so extensive that as
a bass player, you need a system fully capable of responding
to both your loudest and softest passages, with accuracy and
clarity, whilst retaining warmth and musicality.
This can
only be achieved by using an amplifier with enough headroom
to remain clean under even the most extreme playing conditions,
but with features capable of allowing you full tonal control.
By engineering an amplifier with headroom that goes five times
beyond that of normal bass amplification, we have created
a system capable of delivering unbelievable power and sound
pressure levels, with incredible punch.
The days
of compromising your playing technique and EQ settings to
retain maximum clarity are over, these systems are built to
respond faithfully and accurately to even the wildest dynamic
range! Our range of Marshall Dynamic Bass amplifiers, speaker
cabinets and combos have been carefully designed to fulfil
all the needs of the serious contemporary bass guitarist.
Whatever your style, whatever the application, there is a
no compromise Marshall Dynamic Bass System that will be the
most responsive and rewarding that you've ever played through.
Where
a conventional bass amplifier operates on an RMS to peak power
ratio of 1:2, the Marshall Dynamic Bass System casts convention
aside by extending this ratio to 1:10. The result in the 7400
model, is a 400 Watt RMS amplifier that delivers peaks of
4000 Watts. This incredible dynamic headroom is achieved by
using two discrete power supplies - one more than the typical
bass amplifier. Marshall's specially designed Dynamic Bass
circuitry constantly monitors the amplifier's input level
and when it detects signals that would be too dynamic for
a conventional bass amp, kicks in the secondary power supply
instantaneously to handle them cleanly. This abundance of
headroom allows you to lean fully on the amp's power stage
to give you clarity, punch and supremely dynamic performance,
with sensitivity the likes of which you won't have previously
experienced.
Making
the most of the massive peak power levels provided by the
Dynamic Bass System's awesome headroom, is an equally impressive
pre-amp section to give you total tone shaping and full control.
Features
Hi
and Lo Inputs To match active or passive bass guitars
(it does not really matter which input you use, just choose
the one which sounds the best for your bass).
Gain
Controls the overall input level and the threshold level
of the compressor.
Valve/Solid
State Blendable Input Pre-amp The rotary blend control
allows any number of combinations from warm fat vintage
valve to sharper more percussive solid state.
Hi
& Lo Primary EQ Controls Rotary controls giving cut
and boost of + or -15dB of the basic EQ.
Deep
and Bright Push Switches Add extra depth to the bottom
end and more attack to the top end of the primary EQ.
Compression
Smooth operating industry standard compressor with depth
control, on/off switch and threshold indicator.
9
Band Graphic Equaliser Footswitchable from the rear
panel and including cut or boost of frequencies specially
selected to maximise dynamic bass performance. The master
level control of + or - 6dB allows you to accurately balance
levels when the graphic is switched in or out.
DI
Pre or Post EQ Selection Switch Offers a PA or recording
engineer the choice of direct signal either before or after
EQ has been added and dispenses with the need for DI boxes
on stage or in the studio.
